Profile:
Kimberly was born and raised in the Okanagan. Growing up in a golf family, she was introduced to the game at the tender age of 4, as her parents shared their passion and expertise, providing her with countless hours of practice on the course. Over the years, she has honed her skills and developed a deep appreciation for the intricacies of the game, spending the past 20 years working in the golf industry in various capacities, from coaching young golfers to managing tournaments, and even participating in marketing initiatives that promote the sport. With an unwavering enthusiasm, she is keen to explore the myriad of options that golf has yet to offer her, including new training techniques, innovative equipment, and opportunities to collaborate on marketing campaigns with brands to connect with fellow golf enthusiasts across the globe, ultimately aiming to inspire others to engage with the game she loves.
Personal:
When she isn’t on the lesson tee, you can bet that Kimberly is still lurking near the greens, but these days, she’s more likely to be chasing after a toddler than eyeing a birdie putt. She’s married to a fellow golf fanatic whose love for the game could rival a professional golfer – if only he could find his golf shoes under the pile of toys! Together, they’re on a mission to raise the next generation of golfers, one erratic swing and temper tantrum at a time. Their youngest, just two and still mastering the fine art of walking (and not tripping over his own feet), will soon be causing chaos on the course—or at least on the putting green—alongside the rest of the family.
Professional Skills:
Kimberly has studied human kinetics and personal training in her Post-Secondary education, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the body’s movements and the intricacies of physical fitness. These academic streams have taught her a lot about the mechanics of the great golf swing, emphasizing the importance of posture, balance, and fluid motion, as well as the psychological effects golf has on our minds, particularly in relation to focus, perseverance, and stress relief. Furthermore, she has completed her NCCP Beginner Instruction course through the PGA of Canada, where she honed her teaching skills and learned effective coaching techniques to inspire both novice and experienced golfers alike. With her blend of knowledge and passion for the sport, Kimberly is committed to helping others improve their game and enjoy the numerous benefits that golf offers.
